Introducing the All-New 2021 Acura TLX Type S
The Japanese premium carmaker’s TLX is one more step in Acura’s ongoing commitment to bringing precision performance to life, as evidenced by the second-generation NSX supercar, third-generation RDX, the addition of NSX factory-produced PMC Edition models, the return of Type S performance variants and a new dedicated 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine that will make its debut with the TLX Type S.
Acura Montreal Centre, in the heart of the metropolis, near Laval and Longueuil, presents its new racing car, the 2021 Acura TLX Type S.
2021 Acura’s TLX Type S: A Car Designed by Acura
On August 30, 2020, Acura will be introducing three participants at Pikes Peak, Colorado: two race-modified 2021 TLX sports sedans and an NSX in the Time Attack category. All drivers and teams will be made up of engineers from the Japanese company’s research and development department.
The race-opening TLX Type S is powered by Acura’s new 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine, generating an estimated 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.
This 2021 new Acura TLX will arrive at Acura dealerships this fall; the high-performance version of the Type S will also be available in the showroom.
This high-performance version of the TLX Type S is clearly at the top of Acura’s model lineup with a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine exclusive to the Japanese automaker. With its very singular and spectacular design, this 2021 Acura Type S features a long wheelbase, a low and sporty stance that reveals itself perfectly sculpted with its Jewel Eyes LED headlights, a five-sided grille and a unique grille with large air intakes at the bottom of the bumper.
With its 21-inch wheels and performance tires, the 2021 all-new Acura Type S doesn’t go unnoticed, also thanks to its accent lighting that allows you to choose a subdued ambience to suit your taste, its sleek look, its straight lines, its slightly domed roof and the rear trunk that integrates a carbon fibre spoiler; all of which give this definitely sporty sedan a distinctive look.
The interior of the vehicle is majestic, spacious and luxurious, and when we enter the 2021 all-new Acura Type S, we feel the elegance and refinement at both the front and rear of the vehicle thanks to the sleek seats offered in beautiful and durable high-end Milano leather. All Type S seats are ergonomically designed to ensure your comfort even in corners, so you won’t even feel the curved and sinuous lines of the roads of Quebec, Canada and the United States.
Going one step further, the high-end interior, inspired by Acura’s precision cockpit, will wrap you in high-end details, with available authentic metal and wood finishes and intuitive functionality for a truly personal first-class seating experience. With an available flat-bottomed sport steering wheel and the integrated front and centre dynamic system drive mode selector, the new 2021 TLX is the embodiment of true performance-based design.
In addition to extreme comfort and elegance, the 2021 Acura Type S is packed with impressive technology and finesse, as all connectivity options have been designed to make your life easier. More than ever, Acura innovates and wants to bring the driver closer to its vehicle’s functionalities, with features such as the redesigned ergonomics of the dashboard, which is now even more user-friendly and refined.
All in all, the 2021 new Acura TLX Type S is a car that will turn heads not only because of its unusual design, but also because of its unequalled performance.
